How different would women's lives be if we celebrated the erotic as sacred life-force, if we were taught to rejoice at the onset of our menstrual cycles instead of having to keep them hidden? How long should we allow sex and menstruation to be held as shameful or unclean? How much more joyful would our midlife passage be if menopause were announced with pride, regarded as the start of a freer life and not the end of our womanhood? What are the current issues in reproductive health from a woman's point of view?

In this sacred space, we will also look at varied ways of being and living with our sexuality, Eros, our bodies and the erotic. We will discuss Gay/Lesbian/Bi/Queer/Hetero sexuality and spirituality from many points of view. How do we make connections between the erotic impulse and creativity, sexual energy/union, shakti and spirituality? Women are doing important new work in the areas of movement and touch, using our bodies to access knowledge and connect us to the divine spirit within.

What is a family and how can families be supported? What actions, rituals, practices can support family and the larger community? How can we all help identify and stop intimate violence; what should we do if a friend in an abusive relationship seeks our help?
