Though we seldom have occasion to realize it, we live within our stories. The major overviews and cultural myths of origin shape our worldviews and directly impact how we approach life's meanings, cross-cultural interactions, relationships to people, to creatures, to the earth and the stars. Our moral, economic,pyschological and social selves constantly bump into the invisible but guiding "walls" of these stories. At Serpentina we understand that the male-centered myths of origin and theories about our species—are not working. In these pages we offer critique of old theories, important new theories and reclaimation of women-centered mythology.
