March 23rd
Wendy Hunter Roberts — “The Ravished Goddess” On Spring Equinox, Wendy—a ritualist , therapist, thealogian and feminist scholar—will lead us in a rigorous inquiry: What does it mean to return to the Mother after Persephone has been ravaged? Wendy is author of “Celebrating Her : Feminist Ritualizing Comes of Age.”

April 6th
Miri Hunter, Peggy Lynn, Jodie Platner — “Menstrual Wisdom” Women’s Spirituality Cohort at CIIS presents an evening of discussion, dance, ritual and video featuring work they have done with adolescents on the subject of menstruation and honoring the sacred feminine.

April 13th
Max Daschu — “Deosophy” Founder of the Suppressed History Archives, Max presents a profoundly international overview of Goddess cosmologies: female creators, symbols, cosmic maps, and immanent Spirit conceived as Sun, Moon, Heaven, Earth, and Water. Divine Law as Maat, Tao, Ollin, Wyrd illuminated the range of Goddess-oriented spiritual philosophy through a rich and rare selection of iconography. Lecture, discussion, slides.

April 20th
Vicki Noble — “Making Ritual with Motherpeace Cards” Based on her newest work, this evening with Vicki will include material on shamanic, oracular priestess traditions and ritual work with the Motherpeace Cards. Vicki is the author of many books including “Shakti Woman.” Ritual, discussion, slides, work with the cards.

April 27th
Ruth Rhoten — “Powerful Objects” Silversmith and crafter of exquisite ritual objects, Ruth will discuss her intuitive process in making the objects and, with some of the women who have used her art, discuss the uses of these “power tools”. Lecture, discussion, exhibit.

May 4th
Jennifer Colby — “Art and Identity: Creating Transformation” Creating visual images is one way that women transform culture and explore identity. The focus of Jennifer ’s doctoral research at CIIS is the exploration is the spirituality and identity of Anglo and Latina artists engaged in social transformation. Artist and curator, she founded the Virgin Image Conference—San Juan Bautista. Bring photo or magazine images for collage. Lecture, slides, discussion, art.

May 11th
Jennifer Berezan — “Returning to The Mother of Us All” In a rich evening of image and music, Jennifer discusses her powerful experiences while recording her new healing recording “Returning” in the Hypogeum of Hal Saflieni in Malta. The evening will include excerpts of the recording session. Lecture, music, dance.

May 18th
Leilani Birely — Na Leo 'O Na Wahine Kapu (Voices of the Sacred Women) Leilani, a priestess and cermonialist, will present her Masters research from New College on the The Goddesses, Queens, and Princesses of Old Hawai'i. This magical concluding evening will include Hula, and Chanting. Bring desert for pot luck.
